Vibram introduces new trail and sky running soles

19/05/2010
Italian sole specialist Vibram has launched new ultra-light trail running and skyrunning soles.

The Garmont Adventure shoe uses the company’s G-Speed sole made from its MultiTrek compound. The compound offers excellent grip, particularly on muddy and rocky terrain. The sole thickness has been reduced so that the wearer has better contact with the ground and the MultiTraction tread provides 360° grip. The lines on the rubber sole, positioned from the toe to the heel, maximise propulsion when ascending and braking during descents.

The shoe provides excellent protection and control as a result of special flex zones in the outsole forefoot and the Tri-Axle technology. Two layers of dual-density EVA offer good shock absorption and stability in the heel.

The Mammut Cyclone DLX also uses Vibram technology. It features the company’s new Reptilia sole, which was developed exclusively for this shoes and was inspired by the claws of the lizard and the adhesive lamellae of the gecko. The lugs and lamallae of the sole enhance performance and safety. Offering excellent grip on mountainous terrain.

The boot is compact, fast, light and safe. It incorporates a range of innovations, from a three-part wedge sole to Base Fit lacing technology and a 360° heel support TPU element.
