The American Apparel & Footwear Association has promoted Nate Herman to vice president for international trade. Mr Herman most recently served as senior director for international trade.

“The US apparel and footwear industry has been well served through Nate’s diligent work on Capitol Hill and before the administration,” said AAFA president and CEO, Kevin Burke. “The industry only stands to further benefit from Nate’s continued expert leadership in his new role as vice president for international trade.”

Along with his new responsibility of overseeing AAFA’s international trade lobbying strategy, he will continue to serve as a staff liaison for several of AAFA’s committees, including the social responsibility committee and footwear division.
