New jute insole product for safety footwear

Indian firm APL Polyfab has added a new antistatic version of its Renotex jute footwear board product, which it says will prove particularly suitable for safety footwear applications.

The Kolkata-based company brought Renotex to the global market in 2008, promoting it as a natural, green product. It is made from natural jute fibre, interlocked with jute woven fabric. It is impregnated with specially formulated natural rubber and offers good levels of flexing, bonding, anti-slip, tensile strength, abrasion resistance, moisture absorption and other properties required in Strobel insoles.
