TNF opens new Copenhagen store
Outdoor footwear, apparel and equipment provider The North Face (TNF) has opened a new retail store on Gammel Mont 11, a vibrant commercial area in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Copenhagen store offers 250 square-metres of retail space and features the full spring 2010 collection.
The store opening kicked off a month-long programme of activities for the local community. On March 20, as part of its grand opening, the outlet launched the Never Stop Exploring summit post competition. For the following four weeks, local people can post a personal story and photograph detailing an intense journey of exploration. Each story will be posted on a public wall inside the store and will be judged by a member of TNF’s global athlete team. The grand prize winner will receive a travel package to Chamonix, France, including a VIP programme to follow The North Face Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc.
“Copenhagen has a long history of pushing boundaries and exploring—in the fields of design, technology and planning, as well as in its overall approach,” says Francesca Pozzi, VP of retail, outdoor and action sports EMEA. “The North Face brand has always shared this attitude of discovery and exploration, and salutes the creative spirit of Copenhagen.”
