Haglöfs launches tough trekking boot

Swedish outdoor company Haglöfs has introduced a new footwear product for trekking enthusiasts. The Grym Trekking Boot is said to be comfortable to wear as well as performing well on tough terrain.
The boot combines SuperFabric and Smartlite to offer a 45% reduction in weight compared with previously used materials.
The Grym shell uses SuperFabric as the company claims it is more cut-resistant than Aramide fibres. According to the company, it is also quicker-drying, more waterproof and easier to care for than leather. The Smartlite used in the rand of the boot offers flexibility and adhesion.
Its Gore-Tex lining provides water resistance and breathability, while its Sole footbed and Vibram Four Season outsole—developed in collaboration with Haglöfs—provide good traction and a secure hold. Flex-points and soft cushioning are designed to promote comfortable uphill and downhill walking.
