Skechers launches in India

Sports and lifestyle footwear brand Skechers has launched in India.
The company announced at the end of February that its collections would be available at leading multi-brand footwear retailers across the country, including Regal, Metro, Lifestyle, Planet Sports, Pantaloons and Central. The shoes will also be available in department stores across India.
Skechers managing partner, Marvin Bernstein, told Indian media on making the announcement: “Demand for premium international products has grown dramatically throughout India, and we are happy to introduce fashion-conscious consumers to the Skechers concept: a one-stop-shop of trend-right, high-quality lifestyle footwear for the entire family.”
The company said it would also start manufacturing some of its apparel lines (T-shirts, socks, sweat pants, shorts and so on) in India, bringing them to the domestic market in the autumn.
