Babolat launches new technical tennis shoes
Tennis racquet manufacturer Babolat has launched new high-performance Propulse and Team range tennis shoes. Each shoe is designed to help the player improve footwork and reaction time, increase durability and provide cushioning and comfort.
The Propulse range is Babolat’s highest performing shoe line. The new Propulse 2 Titanium has the same technological features as its predecessor, but has been given a more modern look for 2010. Andy Roddick debuted the new model at the Australian Open in January.
The shoe’s Foot Belt technology offers adjustable foot support, while the Exact Pro system provides better spring. The Michelin technology used in the sole provides excellent grip and durability.
“Footwork is essential for winning,” says Mr Roddick. “In tennis, there are a lot of lateral moves, it’s very important in the game, and the Propulse is made for that. I have been particularly impressed with the traction and quick acceleration I get with the Propulse.”
The Propulse 2 Titanium is aimed at players who move with speed and aggression on the court and is also available in junior sizes. The Propulse 2 White is a more classic all-white look, and features the same technology as the, as does the Propulse Lady 2 Parma, which has new purple touches for 2010 and is specifically designed for the female foot.
Meanwhile, the latest addition to the Team range is the Team All Court Style Reverse. The Reverse features Michelin soles, OrthoLite insoles with memory-shape foam for added comfort during play and Exact Pro technology.
The shoes have been given an “offbeat” look as the design of each shoe is asymmetrical. Other Team Range models include Team Clay 4, Team All Court 4, Team All Court 4 White, Team Lady 3 and Team Junior 4.“Babolat is a tennis brand.
