Walsh launches new trail running line
UK-based running shoe brand Walsh has launched a new trail running collection for 2010. It comprises four distinct styles.
The first of these, the Spirit Peak, is best for trail running and hill walking. Its Pyra Grip sole offers good grip and control over rough terrain. The shoe has a highly breathable upper for greater comfort.
Those looking for a lightweight option may prefer the Spirit Lite. The upper is lightweight, highly breathable and quick drying, making the shoe ideal for cross-country running, trail running and long-distance racing. The Spirit Lite also features the company’s Pyra Grip sole.
Other models in the range include the Enforcer and the Spirit React. The Enforcer is the only boot in the collection. Waterproof and breathable, it offers ankle support and protection for those looking for a sturdier option on rough terrain. The Spirit React is a multi-activity, waterproof, breathable shoe that can be used on various terrains.
According to the company, prominent outdoor and sports figures including Chris Bonnington (mountaineer), Rob Hope (British fell-running Champion) and Alan Border (Australian cricket captain) choose to wear Walsh shoes and have praised their performance and comfort.
