Fiji’s Textile Clothing and Footwear Council has launched a ‘Make it in Fiji’ campaign in the country’s capital, Suva. The campaign aims to encourage buyers in Australia, New Zealand to buy its shoes and clothing.

It also aims to control unrestricted imports of clothing and footwear into the country and to put a stop to the decline in the sector’s exports. The council hopes jobs will be preserved as a result of the campaign.

According TCF Council president, Kalpesh Solanki, the campaign will ensure buyers get premium-quality goods and are buying goods from a country where employees are treated ethically.
