India’s leather exports footwear exports dropped 22.8% to $443.4 million for the period April to August compared with $574.5 million in the prior-year period. Footwear component exports fell 29.3% during the five-month period to $93.8 million from $132.7 million.

However, non-leather footwear exports rose 0.9% to $20.7 million from $20.6 million in the corresponding period last year.
