Football move could mean new shape for Tod's

Reports from Italy have suggested that Florentine businessman Andrea Della Valle stepped down from his position as chairman of Serie A football club Fiorentina on September 24 because he wants to play a role in helping his brother, Diego, re-shape the Tod's footwear brand.
The Della Valle brothers remain as owners of the Florence club, which they rescued from bankruptcy in 2002. Andrea Della Valle was reported to have been upset at criticism he received after transferring star midfielder Filippo Melo to rival club Juventus during the summer.
