Ecuador event to cement relations

A delegation of Brazilian leather and footwear firms travelled to Ecuador on September 21 to present fashion ideas and hold workshops and conference sessions with their Ecuadorian counterparts.

Delcio Aloncio Shmidt, president of
the Brazilian Association of Manufacturers of Leather and Footwear Machinery and Equipment (Abrameq), said at a press conference that the series of events was certain to be of great benefit to the companies taking part. He said that his organisation, and the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Manufactured Goods (Assintecal), which also took part, had had for some time an excellent relationship with the Ecuadorian Footwear Chamber.

But he said face-to-face meetings were an important part of such a relationship so that companies from both countries could meet, talk and share ideas.
