New CFO at Deckers Outdoor

Outdoor, sports and recreational footwear firm Deckers Outdoor Corporation has appointed Thomas George chief financial officer.
Mr George has more than 30 years’ experience in corporate finance and accounting, having served in a number of senior level positions with both public and private companies. He joins the company from vision correction company Ophthonix, where he served as chief financial officer for four years. Prior to this, Mr George spent more than seven years as CFO at Oakley.
Angel Martinez, president and chief executive officer said: "Tom brings to his new position a strong financial skill set, a great base of leadership experience, and a solid reputation within the investment community. Tom is joining Deckers during an important time in the development of the company and I am confident he will be an invaluable asset as we look to increase our domestic penetration and expand our presence overseas."
