Nat-2 launches rainboot sneaker

20/08/2009

Germany-based sneaker brand Nat-2 has launched what it claims is the world’s first rainboot-sneaker.

Known for its 2-in-1 footwear concept, which transforms sneakers into sandals, among other things, the new model is designed to look like a classic canvas sneaker but is actually a 100% waterproofed rainboot. It claims this is not visible from a distance, because the upper—made from a single piece of rubber—is disguised by a pair of real laces that are used just for decoration.
The Nat-2 Rainrunner is a fashion and festival shoe and comes in three colourways: Hendrix, Dean and Prince. Each pair comes in a matching nylon-bag so that shoes can be transported easily when they are wet and muddy.
