Vito Artioli was presented with an award by the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados) last month. It was given for his cooperation in integrating footwear nations in the west.

Mr Artioli is president of the Italian Association of Footwear Industries (ANCI) and was appointed president of the European Confederation of the Footwear industry (CEC) in June.

On receiving the award, Mr Artioli said: “It is difficult to find the right words to express the level of recognition that I am receiving. But we are adding all efforts to reduce the distance between Italy and Brazil.” He added that his role as president of the CEC is to help the countries cooperate and create successful international relationships.

Mr Artioli presented a placard to the Abicalçados president, Milton Cardoso, at the event.
