Ecco named official shoe supplier for Solheim Cup

Danish shoemaker Ecco has been chosen as official footwear supplier for the 2009 Solheim Cup. The company has created special, limited-edition Team USA and Team Europe shoes for the competition.

The Team USA shoe comes in a patriotic red, white and blue colour combination with stars-and-stripes detailing. It will retail $180 at the on-site merchandise pavilion. It will also be available to US team members and LPGA Tour staff.

The tournament takes place August 17-23 in Sugar Grove, Illinois.
