Footwear production falls in Spain

13/08/2009

According to Spain’s national statistics institute, leather and shoe production has fallen dramatically in the first half of 2009. Leather and footwear production fell 24% during the first half of 2009.

There may be some signs of recovery as the rate of decline slowed in June to 21.4%. However, companies are still concerned about the future as the effects of the global financial downturn continue to be felt.
