LaCrosse drops END as independent brand

11/08/2009

Outdoor footwear and apparel brand LaCrosse is to discontinue END (Environmentally Neutral Design) Footwear as a standalone outdoor and running brand.

In a statement, the company said it planned to “leverage the END platform of innovative lightweight designs” into its LaCrosse and Danner product lines and distribution channels for autumn 2010.

LaCrosse acquired END in May for a reported $500,000. END said at the time that it would continue to develop and bring to market environmentally neutral footwear. The new announcement means that future designs and products will come to market as LaCrosse shoes.
