Raw materials prices down, except leather

The raw materials going into Italian-made luxury products, with the exception of leather, are going down in price.
Prices of these materials, collectively, were 6.4% lower in June 2009 compared to 12 months earlier, but the cost of leather and hides was up by 6.2% on average. The big decreases came in the price of energy (42.6% down), iron (23.8% lower), glass (21.5% down) and rubber (17.9% lower).
