Colombia to lift restrictions on shoe imports

10/07/2009

The Colombian government has said it will end restrictions on imported footwear from Panama and China.

Footwear entering the South American country from Panama or from China will be able to come in provided they clear customs in the normal way. For some time now, consignments of shoes from both source countries were being refused admission at important entry points, including the Atlantic port of Barranquilla.
