Assintecal completes China tour
The Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Manufactured Goods (Assintecal) has completed a tour of China.
The tour started at the Guangzhou Shoe and Leather show, held June 2-4, followed by a number of visits to Chinese companies. These visits were led by Assintecal consultant Giancarlo Medeiros, whose aim was to help identify opportunities for Brazilian firms in the Asian market. Members of the Estilo by Brasil Consortium, from São João Batista in the state of Santa Catarina, also joined the tour. The focus was on the production of accessories, women’s footwear (especially shoes and sandals) and children’s footwear.
The tour was supported by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex–Brasil).
