According to Clariant, burnishing effects for shoe upper and fancy leathers are experiencing a comeback. The specialty chemicals producer believes many customers are looking for intense burnishing effects combined with a natural feel.

In response, the company has introduced Melio 06-F-88, an aqueous mix of waxes and additives that offers a smooth glossy finish. It can be also used in a wide variety of polishing base coats for fine leathers.

The company claims it offers excellent burnishing effects with strong darkening and high gloss. It is versatile in terms of end applications and offers a pleasant feel with no grain overloading.
