Geox wins honour

Italian investment bank Mediobanca has bestowed the title of ‘Italy’s most dynamic company’ on footwear brand Geox.
The bank said Geox deserved the award for achieving turnover of almost EUR 770 million in 2007, a rise of 126.5% on its figures for 2004.
On receiving the award, the president and founder of the footwear company, Mario Moretti Polegato, said: “This is a great honour for me because it's a tribute to the hard work of everyone at Geox. During these last few years, we’ve invested a great deal in the training and development of our people, transforming our human resource into one of the greatest advantages this company has.”
