New footwear body meets in Rome

The Chinese footwear industry has set up a new body called the Overseas Chinese Shoe Chamber of Commerce.
The organisation, aimed mostly at Chinese footwear traders based outside the country, celebrated its first meeting in Rome on May 18. It appointed Xiang Jinguang as its first president and established a membership of 320 footwear industry figures.
