SATRA has organised a series of technology roadshows in the US and China during the month of June 2009 to provide information on current industry issues for consumer products and to discuss new ideas that the technology centre intends to explore.

The roadshows are only open to SATRA members and topics will include:

• Safety footwear/ EU and US standards
• Shoe sizes and fitting
• Comfort and shock absorption
• Stitchless technology
• Moisture management and thermal properties of footwear 
• Current legislation on chemicals used in production
• Environmental impact issues

The roadshow dates are as follows:

• Wednesday, 10 June, Royal Lagoon Hotel, Dongguan, China
• Friday, 12 June, Holiday Inn, Downtown Shanghai, China
• Monday, 15 June, Sheraton Gateway Airport Hotel, Los Angeles, US
• Wednesday, 17 June, Airport Marriott Hotel, Boston, US.
