Louis Vuitton collection catches the eye

Shoes and boots from the Louis Vuitton autumn 2009 collection proved popular at the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on May 4.
Described as the biggest event in the New York fashion calendar, celebrities are always keen to attend the gala to show off the latest designs to have caught their attention.
This year, an impressive list of women—including Madonna, Victoria Beckham and television actress Leighton Meester—appeared in Louis Vuitton footwear.
In each case, the shoes showed off an eye-catching new Louis Vuitton adornment, an oversized pearl-effect ball going through the heel, almost as though that part of the shoe had its own earring.
