A new exhibition celebrating Formula One's contribution to technological innovation includes a pair of wellington boots among the exhibits.
The collection went on display at the London Science Museum on March 11. Opening the exhibition, Ron Dennis, chairman of the McLaren Formula One team, said: "Contrary to popular belief, Formula One is not all about glitz and glamour, parties and celebrities. Of course it attracts more than its fair share of all of these but, at its heart, it is about technology and scientific innovation."
The boots, whose soles have tread similar to that of the tyres on Formula One cars to prevent the wearer from slipping, were one of 20 examples of this innovation.
