OrthoLite, a manufacturer of open cell foam insoles, has opened a factory in Vietnam that will employ 300 workers and produce three million pairs of insoles per month.

It will lead to shorter lead times and will employ local staff for product development.

Pamela Gelsomini, OrthoLite’s president, said: “Footwear brands want to get their products to consumers faster than ever. With the opening of our first factory in Vietnam, we will have the ability to provide better service to our customers.”

OrthoLite secured an environment protection certificate from the local government and the factory will produce Eco materials for brand customers.

The 13,000 square metre facility is located in Thuan An Town, Binh Duong Province, one of the biggest industrial cities in Vietnam and close to Ho Chi Minh city.

OrthoLite has two factories in China, two partner factories in Vietnam, one partner factory in Indonesia and two partners in Korea.
